Ms. Perrell focuses her practice on plaintiffs' legal negligence claims, business litigation, and defending and pursuing abusive litigation claims. Her legal negligence practice has included pursuit of claims against multinational lawfirms as well as mid-range to smaller firms. The malpractice claims have resulted from errors committed in the pursuit of product liability claims, negligent pursuit of labor and employment cases and tax shelter schemes. As a niche within legal malpractice, Ms. Perrell has pursued a number of patent legal malpractice claims, an emerging and specialized area of legal malpractice. She has represented publicly traded companies with claims against their patent counsel for errors that cost the companies eight figure losses and negotiated those claims to successful resolutions. She recently won a $1.9 million breach of contract award against a publicly traded company. In her business litigation practice, she has represented both individuals and businesses as plaintiffs and defendants. She has litigated claims against banks, state universities, large publicly traded companies, small businesses, and individuals. As a result of this experience, she is regularly asked to speak at seminars on legal ethics and preventing legal malpractice by malpractice insurance companies. Most recently, Charlotte was instrumental in instituting Georgia’s first Professional Liability Section of the State Bar of Georgia where she Co-Chairs the Sections Annual Seminar. Ms. Perrell also Co-Chairs the long standing annual seminar on Abusive Litigation. Ms Perrell is Board Certified in Legal Malpractice by the American Board of Professional Liability Attorneys.
