Ben Shapiro received his undergraduate degree from Emory University in 1964 and his law degree from Emory Law School in 1967, where he was Associate Editor of the Law Review.
Mr. Shapiro attended United States Naval Justice School and served in the Judge Advocate General Corps in the Naval Reserve.
Ben Shapiro is a partner at Shapiro Fussell in Atlanta. He represents owners, general contractors, subcontractors, suppliers and design professionals in construction disputes in state and federal courts, arbitration and mediation.
Shapiro is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, the District of Columbia Bar, and the United States Court of Federal Claims. Mr. Shapiro was selected as a Georgia Super Lawyer in 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010. He is Past Chair of the Construction Law Section of the Atlanta Bar Association. He is a member of the American College of Construction Lawyers. He is a co-founder of Georgia Legal Services Program, the state-wide legal service system in Georgia. He served as a Trustee of Emory University from 1990 to 1996.
