Jim Peterson is a respected family law attorney and a founding partner of Peterson & Harris in Atlanta, Georgia. Whether his clients' issues involve divorce, child custody, alimony, child support, prenuptial agreements, property division or any other facet of family law, Mr. Peterson is a determined and knowledgeable advocate on their behalf.

With more than 20 years of legal experience, he has handled numerous complex jury trials and argued many landmark cases before the Georgia Supreme Court and the Georgia Court of Appeal.

A Georgia native, Mr. Peterson earned his B.A. from Appalachian State University in 1980 and his J.D. from Mississippi College School of Law in 1984. During law school, he served as a member of the Mississippi College Law Review. Today, he is a member of the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association, American Association for Justice, the Lawyers Club of Atlanta and the distinguished Old War Horse Lawyers Club.
