Recently selected in 2012 as a Top 100 Trial Lawyer in the State of Georgia by The National Trial Lawyers, attorney M. Brandon Smith is a partner with the Atlanta firm Childers, Schlueter & Smith, LLC. His practice is devoted to pharmaceutical litigation, mass torts, products liability and serious personal injury.
Following his graduation from the University of Georgia Law School, Mr. Smith gained valuable trial experience as an assistant district attorney in the Alcovy Circuit (Newton County) and developed his desire to help individuals harmed by the careless actions of others. Today he utilizes his skills to help injured victims nationwide, and he is a frequent guest speaker at legal seminars all over the country.
Mr. Smith is admitted to practice within the states of Georgia, Pennsylvania and West Virginia. Verdicts and Settlements:
- This case involved a loving mother who unknowingly took a dangerous anti-seizure medication that caused her to develop a deadly skin reaction called Stevens Johnson Syndrome. Tragically, due to the severity of her injuries, she did not recover from her resulting injuries. A lawsuit was brought on behalf of her family and her Estate against the manufacturer of the dangerous drug. Allegations of failure to warn, breach of implied warranty and other claims were asserted on the family's behalf. After a lengthy battle with the responsible pharmaceutical company, a substantial confidential settlement was reached prior to trial.
