Profile

Board Certified in DUI Defense since 2001, Mr. Hawkins is among the first lawyers in the United States recognized by the American Bar Association as Board Certified by the National College for DUI Defense (NCDD). In 2008, he was elected to the Board of Regents for the NCDD. He is a frequent lecturer in Georgia and nationally on DUI defense issues. He serves as Vice-Chairman of the DUI Committee for the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (NACDL) and served as President of the DeKalb Bar Association. Mr. Hawkins is listed in the Martindale-Hubbell Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers.  He has been named a Superlawyer for the last 7 years.
