R. Wayne Thorpe, Esq.  has been a full-time ADR neutral since 1998. He has served as mediator, arbitrator, special master, case evaluator and in other neutral roles in over 1500 cases, in at least 15 states, involving all kinds of civil disputes, including class actions, mass torts, and other high stakes and complex cases.

Mr. Thorpe is the Immediate Past Chair of the ABA Dispute Resolution Section, and he has been named for several years in The Best Lawyers in America and Georgia Super Lawyers. Best Lawyers has named him Atlanta Mediation Lawyer of the Year for 2012.  In 1997 he was appointed by the Georgia Supreme Court to the Georgia Commission on Dispute Resolution. Until 1998, Mr. Thorpe was a litigation partner in a large Atlanta law firm; he has also taught ADR courses in law schools.
