Kevin O’Hagan doesn’t mince words. So when asked to explain his firm’s focus areas, his response is characteristically direct. “We defend professionals and handle difficult cases,” he says. “We work with corporate directors, officers, attorneys, accountants, physicians and any kind of broker. We are also national trial counsel for several automotive clients.”
The partners in 2006 split from a larger firm to create the “lean and mean” practice, O’Hagan says. Cases receive the collective resources of the 20 experienced attorneys. “There is no dead weight,” says O’Hagan, “and all our attorneys are cross-trained to try cases for professionals.” Kevin, along with his father, James J. O’Hagan, Leena Soni and Laura Zaroski, were named to the Illinois Super Lawyers® & Rising Stars lists.
James O’Hagan for 40-plus years has tried a variety of cases, including stock fraud and commercial knock-down, drag-out fights. Kevin’s clientele includes manufacturers, inventors, service providers and corporations and professionals of all stripes. Zaroski and Soni are insurance coverage experts. Partners Dan Meyer, Dan Nolan, Patrick Keating and Denean Sturino all handle complicated cases and big trials.
Every attorney knows his or her way around the courthouse. “Trial work is our craft,” says Jim O’Hagan. “We all love our jobs and when we are able to solve a client’s problem, we are happy people.”
No doubt, that makes the firm’s clients happy, too.
