Mr. Stein is recognized as one of Chicago's leading trial lawyers in the domestic relations area. In addition to litigating or negotiating settlements in many major Illinois cases, he has lectured extensively on many trial-oriented topics in his capacity as former chairman of the Family Law Section of the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association and co-chairman of the Trial Practice Committee of the Family Law Section of the American Bar Association. Through speeches and workshops for the annual meetings of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Illinois CPA Society, he has taught accountants how to present effective testimony on business valuations, and he has presented a paper on Pre- and Post-Nuptial Agreements to the Family Forum of the Family Business Center of Loyola University. Mr. Stein is listed in Who's Who of American Lawyers, was named as a leading Illinois attorney by the American Research Corporation in 1996, and since 1991 has been named each year in Naifeh and Smith's Best Lawyers in America as one of the nation's top divorce attorneys.
