Arthur E. Pape is the principal attorney of The Pape Law Firm in Wheaton, Illinois, serving Chicago and its surrounding suburbs. Mr. Pape represents clients in commercial and real estate transactions and other business law issues. He also counsels on real estate insurance matters and serves as expert witness for related cases.
After being elected to the American College of Real Estate Lawyers in 1986, Mr. Pape founded and was the first chairman of their Insurance Committee. In addition to his law firm practice, Mr. Pape has served as principal in a small real estate development company and as real estate counsel for a national money center bank. He also has been a director of financial institutions, investment companies and manufacturers as well as civic and charitable organizations.
As an adjunct professor in The John Marshall Law School's Masters of Real Estate Law Program, Mr. Pape teaches a course on insurance related to real estate transactions. He also has written and lectured extensively on topics of interest to real estate lawyers, including insurance law and insurance certificates.
Mr. Pape received his B.A. from the University of Pittsburgh in 1963 and his L.L.B. from Harvard Law School in 1965.
