Profile
Daniel S. Kirschner has been a Chicago personal injury lawyer at Corboy & Demetrio since 1998. A graduate of Chicago-Kent College of Law, he received the CALI Award for Excellence in the study of medical malpractice law while a student. Mr. Kirschner represents plaintiffs in catastrophic personal injury and wrongful death litigation at the pretrial, trial and appellate levels in state and federal courts. His practice is concentrated in matters involving aviation disasters, trucking and highway collisions, railroad crossings and derailments, construction mishaps, premises liability, product liability, medical malpractice, motor vehicle negligence, school and governmental liability, public transportation, and toxic tort. In 2003, Dan was named by the Law Bulletin Publishing Company, which publishes the Chicago Daily Law Bulletin and Chicago Lawyer magazine, to its list of the "40 Under 40 Attorneys to Watch in Illinois." At age 31, Kirschner was the youngest of the 40 recipients. That same year, he received the Young Alumnus Award from the Chicago-Kent Law School Association and he currently serves as a member of the Chicago-Kent Alumni Board of Directors. In 1999, the Illinois Supreme Court appointed Dan to a three-year term as a Commissioner on the Character and Fitness Committee of the Illinois Board of Admissions to the Bar, where he worked tirelessly toward preserving the integrity of the legal profession. His hard work and commitment to the practice was again recognized by the Court in 2002 when it appointed Kirschner to serve on the Illinois Supreme Court Rules Committee, where he continues to serve.
