Profile

Douglas A. Colby's legal career began as a law clerk with Anesi, Ozmon, Rodin Novak & Kohen, Ltd., in 1980. Upon obtaining his law degree in 1982, he joined the firm as an associate attorney. Over the next 25 years, Douglas devoted his practice to representing people seriously injured on the job in Chicago and throughout Illinois. He is now a managing partner of the firm's workers' compensation department and has a national reputation as a leading workers' compensation attorney. Douglas has won millions of dollars in successful verdicts and settlements for injured union workers and other people injured in the workplace. His clients benefit from his close relationships with Northern Illinois trade unions. As a firm leader, he provides insight and guidance to the firm's experienced attorneys in their more difficult cases and teaches younger associates the techniques required to be effective litigators in the field.
