Bar/Professional Activity: He is a member of ABA Business Law Sections(Limited Liability Companies and Negotiated Acquisitions),  Former Co-Chair the Business Law Subcommittee on Mergers and Acquisitions of the Chicago Bar Association, Past Chair of the Illinois CPA Society Mergers and Acquisitions Special Interest Group Task Force, and member of the Illinois CPA Society Consulting Services Executive Committee. Amongst other professional activities, he has made numerous presentations concerning closely held businesses and mergers and acquisitions.
Pro bono/Community Service: Mr. Hubbard volunteers a portion of his time to assist individuals and entrepreneurs who he feels are in need.
Scholarly Lectures and Writings: He authored two chapters for Mergers and Acquisitions Handbook for Small and Midsize Companies, edited by West and Jones (New York: Wiley, 1997), co-authored a chapter on Illinois/Delaware/Nevada Corporations for an IICLE handbook, and authored the Limited Liability Company Management Structures supplemental chapter in the LLC and S Corporation Handbook (IICLE, 2008 and 2009).  Instructor on LLC Managment Structures, Illinois Institute for Continuing Legal Education in 2008 and 2009. Presented on Successor Liability and Earn-outs to the Chicago Bar Association Sub-Committee on Mergers and Acquisitions.  Co-Chair and presenter Illinois CPA Society Annual Mergers and Acquisitions Conference; Chaired and presented special Illinos CPA Society conference on Business Exit Planning for owners of, and advisors to, closely held businesses.
Educational Background: Mr. Hubbard graduated from the Illinois Institute of Technology Chicago-Kent College of Law (J.D. with high honors, 1978, having foregone law review to participate in International Law Moot Court, Mensa, be President of the International Law Society, intern in the Office of the U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Illinois and obtain an Illinois Certified Public Accountant certificate) and from the United States Military Academy at West Point (1973;B.S.).
