Gemma Allen (University of Michigan, J.D.) has been practicing family law for over 25 years, initially as a partner in the Chicago law firms of McDermott, Will & Emery and Pretzel & Stouffer, and has been involved in over 1,000 divorces in Cook, Lake, and DuPage Counties. In 2000, she and her partner opened Ladden & Allen, concentrating on divorce, custody, and mediation. She has lectured and authored for the profession and the public.
