A native of Illinois, Joseph G. Klest is the founder of Klest Injury Law Firm in Schaumburg, Illinois. Having practiced personal injury law since 1982, he represents Chicago clients who have been injured by the negligence of others. Specifically, Mr. Klest handles car, truck and motorcycle accidents; medical negligence cases; nursing home injuries and product liability cases. Mr. Klest also represents sexual abuse and assault victims as well as employees with workplace injuries.

Mr. Klest has obtained numerous successful jury verdicts and favorable settlements for his clients. His cases, many valued in the six or seven-figure range, have drawn the attention of the Chicago media and the National Law Journal. In 2011, he garnered a milestone victory when he won a $28 million jury award for victims of sexual abuse. This was the largest judgment for a sexual abuse case in Illinois history and one of the largest in the country. Mr. Klest also settled a medical malpractice case relating to kidney failure for more than $3.2 million. This was the largest kidney failure settlement in Illinois involving a homemaker.

Mr. Klest is a 1982 graduate of John Marshall Law School in Chicago. He is a member of the Illinois State Bar, the United States Court of Appeals for the 7th Circuit and the United States District Courts for the Central, Northern and Southern Districts of Illinois.
