Profile

Katherine Smith Dedrick represents corporate and sophisticated policyholders in insurance recovery and coverage matters. She is also a founding member of Risk Assessment & Transfer International, a consulting company counseling corporatations on risk assessment, asset protection and disaster response. Prior to her insurance recovery work for policyholders, Ms. Dedrick worked for the insurance industry as national coverage counsel. She takes that knowledge and uses it to her clients’ benefit making the recovery process cleaner and quicker. Ms. Smith Dedrick graduated from Chicago Kent College of Law, and received her MBA in 2003 from the University of Chicago. She was recently honored by Business Insurance Magazine as one of its 2008 Women to Watch. She is also member of the bar in various Federal District and Appellate courts and California and Illinois State courts and is a frequent writer and lecturer.
