In 2007 Kathleen Zellner obtained a 15.5 million dollar verdict in the Kevin Fox civil rights trial. The verdict is the largest false arrest verdict in Illinois. In 2008 Ms. Zellner settled medical malpractice and premise liability cases exceeding  6 million dollars.The National Law Journal selected Kathleen T. Zellner as one of the Top Ten Trial Lawyers in the United States in 2000 for a suicide malpractice verdict of $13 million. In 2001, Ms. Zellner was selected by The National Law Journal as one of the Top 50 Women Litigators in the United States for her criminal defense work. In 2007 Ms. Zellner was selected as one of the top 500 plaintiff's attorneys in the United States by Lawdragon. She was selected in 2007-2008 as one of the top 10 female lawyers in Illinois. The Leading Lawyers and the American Trial Lawyer Academy selected Ms. Zellner as  one of the top 100 lawyers in Illinois in all areas of law. Ms. Zellner has obtained the release of ten wrongfully convicted men from prison with DNA testing. Ms. Zellner won five multimillion-dollar  civil verdicts in eleven months. All five verdicts were records in Illinois. In 2000, she was selected as Pro Bono Attorney of the Year in the United States, Illinois, and DuPage County.
