Michael (Mike) D. Block is the senior partner of Block, Klukas & Manzella, P.C., a Joliet, Illinois, law firm focused on handling plaintiff's personal injury and workers’ compensation claims throughout the state. Mike has substantial experience in all aspects of the firm's practice with an emphasis on automobile accident, construction site accident, defective product and workers' compensation cases.
After graduating with honors from the John Marshall Law School in 1970, Mike became one of the youngest members, if not the youngest member, of the Illinois Bar at the age of 22. In the years since, he has served as an adjunct instructor (John Marshall Law School, 1970-1974), published several articles on personal injury and trial practice topics, and has been a featured speaker at legal seminars for various organizations.
Mike holds an AV Preeminent* peer review rating through Martindale-Hubbell, is a member of the Leading Lawyers Network and is also active in several professional associations. His professional leadership over the years has included more than 10 years of service on the board of governors of the American Association for Justice and more than 15 years of service on the board of directors of the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association.
