Profile

Michael has been a trial lawyer for his entire professional life.  He has tried cases on behalf of seriously injured people and their families in the state and federal courts across the country.  Medical malpractice, transportation, premises liability, and civil rights claims make up the bulk of his practice.  He is a Fellow in the American College of Trial Lawyers (the country's pre-imminent organization of trial lawyer which limits its membership to no more than 1% of the trial bar), an invited member of the American Board of Trial Advocates, and a past member of the Board of Governors of the Illinois State Bar Association.  He has been voted a SuperLawyer every year since 2006.  He is an invited member of the Leading Lawyer Network and was recognized as one of the top 100 trial lawyers in Illinois by The American Association of Trial Lawyers for 2009-2010.  Michael has lectured on a variety of trial practice topics for many organizations including the United States Department of Justice, the Illinois State Bar Association, the Illinois Institute for Continuing Legal Education, many local bar associations, Northern Illinois University School of Law, and many others.
