The Law Offices of Richard Hanus, established in 1990, represents businesses and individuals in all areas of U.S. immigration law, including family and employment-based filings, as well as asylum and removal cases. Mr. Hanus is a graduate of Northwestern University (B.S.) and the University of Illinois (J.D.). He is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), and has served on a variety of National and Local Chapter committees. From 1998 to 2004, he chaired Chicago Volunteer Legal Services' AILA Immigration Law Clinic (pro bono) and was the 1990 and 2006 recipient of their Distinguished Service Award. He is a frequent commentator in local and national news media, including PBS' Frontline.
