Profile

Scott A. Andresen is the founder of Andresen & Associates P.C., a Chicago-based law firm that focuses its offerings in the areas of sports law, entertainment and the arts, intellectual property and a wide array of legal and non-legal services to clients ranging from small entrepreneurs to multi-million dollar corporations. Scott also currently serves as an adjunct professor teaching Legal and Ethical Issues in Sports Management at the graduate level at Northwestern University, and Sports Law, (and in the past) Business of Professional Sports, Labor Relations for the Arts and Marketing the Arts at the undergraduate level at Columbia College-Chicago; provides legal insight and commentary on sports-related topics to various national television, print and online media outlets; volunteers with several non-profit organizations, including the Lawyers for the Creative Arts and the National MS Society; and lectures to various domestic and international legal and educational organizations and institutions. Prior to founding Andresen & Associates, Scott served as in-house legal counsel for the Arena Football League. Scott earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, his JD at the Valparaiso University School of Law, and his MBA from the University of Phoenix. Scott also previously studied at Cambridge University in England under U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg, worked for the legal department of the Oakland Raiders, and served as Legal Assistant to the Executive Director of the Illinois High School Association.
