Profile

For 51 years, Stanley Jakala has represented public employees, particularly police and fire employees, in disciplinary matters and pensions. He was legal counsel for the State of Illinois Fraternal Order of Police for 29 years and was the national legal counsel for the Fraternal Order of Police from 1979 to 1981. He has represented the Village of Westchester, Illinois, in labor negotiations with pubic employees since 1995, has represented pension boards, and is presently representing the Hoffman Estates, Illinois, Police and Fire Pension Boards. He has been involved in over 100 published opinions, victorious in 39 percent of cases.
