James H. Voyles Jr. is a partner in the Voyles, Zahn & Paul law firm in Indianapolis, Indiana. He specializes in driving under the influence and driving while intoxicated cases along with sex offenses, major felonies, white collar crime and professional licensing. In addition to representing clients in the Indianapolis area, attorney Voyles has also represented clients across all of Indiana, Wisconsin, Illinois, Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Ohio, Montana, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

Mr. Voyles earned his Bachelor of Science from Illinois College in 1965 and his Juris Doctor from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law in Indianapolis, Indiana, in 1968. Prior to joining his current firm in 1968, he was a law clerk in the Office of the Indiana Attorney General.

Mr. Voyles is approved to practice law before the state courts of Indiana, the U.S. District Courts for the Central District of Illinois, the Eastern District of Wisconsin and the Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana; the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Sixth, Seventh and Eleventh Circuits; and the U.S. Supreme Court.

James H. Voyles Jr. is a member of the American Bar Association, the Indiana State Bar Association and the Indianapolis Bar Association. Mr. Voyles is also a member of the American Board of Criminal Lawyers, the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the American College of Trial Lawyers. In addition, he has also held numerous leadership positions in several law organizations.

Attorney Voyles has long been recognized for his successful track record and experience. He has been named as AV Preeminent* by Martindale-Hubbell and listed among The Best Lawyers in America* in criminal law. In addition, he earned the Indiana State Bar Association's Hall of Fame Award in 2012. He is also a renowned speaker and lecturer, often speaking to bar associations and other legal organizations.
