Jessie A. Cook represents individuals accused of major felonies and capital offenses. She graduated from IU - Bloomington (1979, cum laude), the National College of Criminal Defense and the Darrow College of Capital Defense. She teaches trial advocacy at the Maurer School of Law- Bloomington, and continuing legal education programs for the National Institute of Trial Advocacy, the Indiana Public Defender Council and ICLEF’s Trial Advocacy Skills College. Jessie serves as a Fellow, American College of Trial Lawyers (Access to Justice, Indiana State Committees); Board of Governors, Indiana State Bar Association; Governing Council and past chair, ISBA Criminal Justice Section; Master Fellow and former Board member, Indiana Bar Foundation; member, Indiana Supreme Court Rules Committee; member, NACDL, NLG, ACLU. Jessie was the 2008 recipient of the IPDC’s Gideon Award.
