Sam graduated from Indiana University and in 1976 received his J.D. degree, summa cum laude, from Indiana University School of Law – Indianapolis. He has tried numerous jury trials during his 35-year career. In 1981, he helped found Mitchell Hurst Jacobs & Dick, representing injured persons and families in a wide variety of wrongful death and serious personal injury cases, including auto and truck accidents, motorcycle and pedestrian injuries, assault and security cases, and construction work site deaths and injuries. Sam began Jacobs Law LLC in 2010. He is a member of the Indianapolis and Indiana Bar Associations and ABOTA and is a Certified Civil Mediator. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of ITLA and is also a member of the AAJ and the Indiana Brain Injury Association. Sam is listed in The Best Lawyers in America and is annually recognized by Indiana Super Lawyers.
