Bill Hurst received his undergraduate degree in chemistry at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana. He received a J.D., with honors, from Indiana University School of Law in 1966. He was a member of the Indiana Law Review and has published several articles. He has limited his practice since 1966 to personal injury litigation matters, has represented various groups of plaintiffs in complex tort litigation matters, such as the breast implant, Norplant, and current Vioxx litigation, and has represented the State of Indiana in tobacco litigation. He has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America for over ten years and was named the Trial Lawyer of the Year by the Indiana Trial Lawyers Association in 2000. He has been listed annually in Indianapolis Monthly as one of Indianapolis' best lawyers.
