John Haas Weinstein limits his practice to Bankruptcy and Major Commercial Litigation throughout Louisiana. He is past chairperson of the LSBA's Bankruptcy Specialization Committee, and is certified as a Bankruptcy Specialist by both the LSBA and ABI, and by the American Bankruptcy Institute in Consumer Bankruptcy Law. He has extensive experience in Chapter 11 reorganizations for troubled companies and individuals. Mr. Weinstein is a seasoned trial lawyer, serving as State District Court Judge in the 27th Judicial District Court for St. Landry Parish during the late 1990s. He is a graduate from Louisiana State University and LSU Law Center. He was a defensive tackle on the LSU 1970 Southeastern Conference Championship Football Team.
