Kirk Reasonover is a founding partner of Reasonover & Olinde, LLC, a law firm with offices in New Orleans, Louisiana, and a nationwide practice representing individual and institutional investors in securities arbitration and litigation.
Mr. Reasonover's commercial litigation and arbitration experience is broad and extensive. Over the past two decades, he has handled cases involving securities law, investment disputes, corporate voting rights, breach of fiduciary duty claims and allegations of fraud, racketeering or mismanagement. He has also been active in disputes involving franchises and intellectual property, including trademarks, copyrights and computer software; represents clients in arbitration proceedings before the FINRA (Financial Industry Regulatory Authority) and the American Arbitration Association; and has represented creditors, debtors and equity interest holders in bankruptcy and lien foreclosure proceedings.
Mr. Reasonover received his Juris Doctor along with a master's degree in business administration from Tulane University in 1991. While at Tulane, he was vice president of his class, served as an assistant editor of the Tulane Law Review and won the Tulane Junior Appellate Moot Court Competition. Mr. Reasonover currently chairs the Business Torts Section of the American Association for Justice (formerly known as the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, or ATLA) as well as the Amicus Curiae Committee of the Public Investors Arbitration Bar Association.
