An experienced trial lawyer, he also protects the rights of injured individuals in maritime personal injury, automobile accidents and trucking law, and handles a variety of complex litigation, including commercial litigation, real estate litigation, tax disputes and other general civil trial matters.
Prior to opening his own practice to defend the rights of individuals and business, Mr. Brander represented large insurance companies, small business and Fortune 500 companies involved in legal disputes. Today, he draws on those experiences to help his clients protect their rights and obtain the maximum compensation to which they may be entitled.
Among his reported cases, he successfully represented a policyholder who was wrongfully denied coverage under the policyholder's underinsured motorist insurance policy. The Louisiana Supreme Court ruled in favor of Mr. Brander's client (Demma v. Automobile Club Inter-Insurance Exchange, So.3d, 2009 WL 2170140 [La.], 2008-28010 [La. 6/26/09]).
Mr. Brander received his undergraduate degree from Louisiana State University and law degree from Loyola University School of Law in New Orleans. He also holds a master of law in taxation from Boston University School of Law. In addition to his legal activities, Mr. Brander has been recognized for his dedicated community involvement in public, private and nonprofit organizations throughout Jefferson Parish.
