Jack H. Simmons has been an active trial lawyer since his admission to the bar in 1964. He has tried hundreds of complex medical malpractice cases, various tort cases, and significant criminal cases. Mr. Simmons has been listed in The Best Lawyer in America for Litigation in Personal Injury, Medical Malpractice, Business, and Criminal Law and is AV® Rated by Martindale-Hubbell. In addition to numerous articles, he has co-authored, “Maine Tort Law” the preeminent reference guide for Maine civil litigators. He is a former member and chairperson on the Supreme Court Advisory Committee on the Rules of Evidence and Rules of Civil Procedure. In 2010, Mr. Simmons was the first recipient of the Legends Award presented by the Maine Trial Lawyers Association for his contribution to the Maine Legal Community and Civil Justice.
