Michael T. Bigos has earned a reputation for successfully resolving hundreds of personal injury cases, including complex medical-legal issues and disputed insurance coverage. He tries cases every year and is often called in as “trial counsel.” Out-of-state attorneys call him to be local counsel in Maine. He handles and has resolved several seven-figure cases. Michael is a “go-to” leader for legislative advocacy on civil justice issues and presentations involving trial work. He is a Governor of the Maine Trial Lawyers Association and chairs its Legislative Committee. He served on the 2011 Maine Congressional committee to nominate William Kayatta to the federal First Circuit Court of Appeals. He is also a former Commissioner of the Maine Elections Practices Commission. Michael was the Managing Editor of the University of Maine Law Review, and clerked for Justice Jon Levy of the Maine Supreme Judicial Court.
