Ms. Strachan’s practice focuses on civil litigation with an emphasis on contract dispute, collection actions, commercial & residential real estate, condominium law, as well as construction and home improvement law.
Ms. Strachan is a seasoned litigator who has handled an average of fifty contested cases per year before Judges on both the Circuit and District Court levels all over the state of Maryland. Her client base runs the gamut from the small property owner to major commercial and residential property management companies. She has extensive experience in dealing with cases that involve Housing & Urban Development, as well as project and voucher based state run housing assistance programs. Ms. Strachan also handles contract disputes and collection actions on a regular basis.

- Ms. Strachan has been a member of the Bar Association for Batlimore City since 2001. She was selected in 2008 to serve on the Executive Council for the Bar Association for Baltimore City as Co-Chair of the Lawyer Referral and Information Service Committee for the 2008-2009 term. Ms. Strachan served on the Executive Council as Chair of the LRIS Commitee from 2009-2010 and again as Co-Chair from 2010-2011. As an active member of the Executive Coucil and on behald of LRIS, Ms. Strachan raised public awareness of legal services available to those of limited means and/or pro bono services available to those who can not afford legal assistance. She was recently selected to serve on the Executive Council for the 2001-2012 term, the fourth consequtive year, as Co-Chair of the Bench Bar Committee. In the summer of 2010, Ms. Strachan was selected to become a member of The Baltimore Bar Foundation. The Baltimore Bar Foundation is a charitable organization, incorporated in 1970 to foster and maintain the honor and integrity of the profession of the law; to improve and to facilitate the administration of justice; to enhance and improve the image of lawyers; and to promote the study of the law and research therein, and the diffusion of knowledge thereof. She is currently still an active member of the Baltimore Bar Foundation.

Other Outstanding Achievements:
- In the summer of 2011, Ms. Strachan was selected to become a Rising Star for the Living Classrooms Foundation. Living Classrooms Foundation strengthens communities and inspires young people to achieve their potential through hands-on education and job training, using urban, natural, and maritime resources as “living classrooms.” Living Classrooms Foundations's Rising Stars Program is aimed at engaging young professionals in philanthropy and raising awaremed about the importatn work of Living Classrooms.
Educational Background:
- Ms. Strachan graduated high school from the Tower Hill School and went on to attend the University of the South at Sewanee, where she majored in political science. While at the University of the South, Ms. Strachan was the recipient of the Robert Lancaster Scholarship, as well as two Tonya Intership Grants for the summer of 1995 and the summer of 1997.
