Jacob J. Cecere is a founding partner of the law firm of Spigelman & Cecere, LLP, in Gaithersburg, Maryland. He has a successful law practice in the areas of premises liability and general liability, medical and pharmaceutical malpractice, construction liability, and motor vehicle torts including common carriers and commercial carriers. His other areas of practice include business litigation, insurance coverage, workers’ compensation claims and appellate work. Mr. Cecere is a certified mediator in the State of Maryland.
Prior to forming Spigelman & Cecere, LLC, Mr. Cecere was a solo practitioner with a practice emphasis on plaintiff's and defense personal injury litigation. He was also a senior associate attorney for a corporate and insurance defense firm in the DIstrict of Columbia. He has also managed a real estate office in New Jersey.
Mr. Cecere is admitted to practice in the state and federal courts of Maryland and New Jersey, the Superior Court of the District of Columbia, and the U.S. District Court for the the District of Columbia. He is a graduate of the University of Baltimore School of Law and earned his J.D. in May of 1987. He was a member of the law review and of the International Law Society. Mr. Cecere earned hi B.A. from Duke University in 1983.
