Jay received his B.A., magna cum laude, from the University of Baltimore and a J.D. from the University of Baltimore Law School. Jay is a member of the Gamma Eta Gamma legal fraternity, and he has served on numerous local college advisory committees. He is a member of the Baltimore County, Maryland State and the American Bar Associations as well as the Maryland Trial Lawyers Association. Jay participates in the Maryland State Bar Mentoring Program and provides mentoring to attorneys newly starting their legal careers. Jay is a trial attorney who is recognized as an aggressive and successful litigator and negotiator, having achieved many million dollar settlements and verdicts. His areas of practice include medical malpractice and personal injury. Jay is also licensed to practice in the United States District Court and the United States Supreme Court. Jay is remarkably adept at medical malpractice litigation and has recovered millions of dollars for his clients. Jay's results for children damaged at childbirth and those afflicted with Cerebral Palsy have earned him the respect of his peers and the gratitude of many clients.In addition to his prior experience with medical malpractice cases, Jay Miller currently represents many, many former patients of Dr. Mark Midei. Midei, a well known interventional cardiologist, is accused of placing coronary artery stents that were not needed in excess of 550 patients. Miller represents over 40% of the total number of patients who have received letters from the hospital informing them of the fact that they have received a non-medically necessary stent. This volume has given Miller the strength necessary to proceed in a fashion that will maximize full value for each patient.
