Jonathan Kagan is a respected Maryland trial attorney. Since 1994, he has dedicated his practice to representing businesses and individuals in state and federal courts. Mr. Kagan concentrates on business contracts and torts, real estate transactions and litigation, and complex medical malpractice and personal injury cases.
In addition, Mr. Kagan counsels business owners and other clients in employment-related matters, including wage and hour laws, anti-discrimination and anti-harassment statutes, severance agreements, the Family and Medical Leave Act and other issues.
Based on peer votes, the magazine What’s Up? Annapolis named Mr. Kagan as a Top Lawyer in business law, litigation, medical malpractice, personal injury and real estate.
Mr. Kagan is a partner at the Baldwin, Kagan & Gormley, LLC, in Annapolis. He is certified as a mediator in the Circuit Court of Anne Arundel County. He has also taught appellate advocacy and legal writing as an adjunct professor at the University of Maryland School of Law.
From 2008 to 2009, Mr. Kagan served as the president of the Anne Arundel County Bar Association. Currently, he is a fellow of the American Bar Association and the Maryland Bar Foundation, a member of the Board of Governors of the Maryland State Bar Association and an ethics commissioner for the City of Annapolis.
