Profile

Caring, personal representation with a special emphasis on resolving complex financial and property issues is the hallmark of Julie Ellen Landau, who has practiced family and divorce law for more than 30 years. Julie represents individuals in the negotiation, litigation and appeal of  prenuptial agreements, divorce, custody, alimony and division of property, and related matters. Julie has published and lectured widely on family law and related topics. Although she prefers resolution of legal issues by alternative dispute resolution (and is a court-approved mediator), she is a strong litigator often requested to teach continuing legal education on litigation tactics and strategy. Julie is AV-rated, the highest rating available from Martindale-Hubbell.

Julie’s active involvement in several local philanthropic organizations evidences her commitment to helping the community as well as her clients. For example, as a member of the Board of Directors of Maryland Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Julie has enthusiastically worked to  further the mission of the foundation – to control and to cure cystic fibrosis – by sponsoring events and serving on the Executive Committee.  She currently is the chairwoman of the Parents Committee of the Stevenson University Stevenson Fund, and is a member of the Board of Directors of The Signal 13 Foundation and Cool Kids Campaign.

Congratulations to Julie for her inclusion on the Super Lawyers Top 100 Lawyers list and Top 50 Women list for 2012.
