Honors and Awards:

• Listed in Martindale-Hubbell’s Bar Register of Pre-Eminent Lawyers, Leslie G. Billman is among select lawyers who have earned the AV Peer Review Rating. An AV rating shows that a lawyer has reached the height of professional excellence and adherence to the professional standards of conduct, ethics, reliability and diligence.In recognition of her achievements in family law, Leslie Billman has been named in Best Lawyers of America and in Maryland Super Lawyers.

Bar/Professional Activity:

• Ms. Billman is the current Vice president of the Maryland Chapter of the American Academy of Matrimonial lawyers.  She a past chair of the Maryland State Bar Association Family Law Section Council, that directs Family Law policies and practices statewide, and served on that Council for three years prior to ascending to the chair.  She has chaired the Prince George's county Family Law Committee, and has served on the Anne Arundel County Family Law committee.  She volunteers as a family law settlement facilitator in Anne Arundel County Circuit Court.

Scholarly Lectures and Writings:

• Ms. Billman was selected to serve on the drafting committee for the Family Law volume of the Maryland Judge’s Benchbook, a reference  book setting out a combination of statutory and common law principles organized for quick reference and use  by the Court as issues arise in the courtroom.  She has written articles concerning various aspects of family law appearing in both county and state legal publications.

Educational Background:

• Ms. Billman graduated from Georgia Southern University in 1972, and from the Columbus School of Law of the Catholic University of America in 1980.
