Michael G. Day is the president and principal of The Law Offices of Michael G. Day and Associates, P.C., located in Hagerstown, Maryland.  He serves the following counties;  Allegeny, Carroll, Frederick, Garrett and Washington.  He graduated from Fort Lewis College with a B.A. degree in Political Science and then from the University of Denver with a Law degree.  Mr. Day has practiced law in the tri-state area, and the State of Maryland, since 1976, handling cases in corporate, real estate, and a variety of other civil law areas.  In 1994 he began emphasizing Elder Law, working with clients on estate planning, asset protection, Medicaid, tax, and estate administration issues.  He became a Member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys in 1994 and is Certified as an Elder Law Attorney by the National Elder Law Foundation (CELA). In 1998 he became a Member of the Elder Law Section Council of the Maryland Bar Association.  In addition to his law practice, Mr. Day presents seminars to the general public on asset protection - Medicaid.  He is also the producer and host of the weekly television and radio programs, Contemporary Retirement.  Active in the community, Mr. Day serves on the Board of Directors of the Community Foundation of Washington County, Inc., and as Chairman of the Antietam HealthCare Foundation, Inc.
