Prudence Avery Upton is a partner at the Rockville, Maryland firm of Avery & Upton. Ms. Upton primarily represents individuals facing family law disputes including divorce, child custody, child support and alimony. She also assists clients in DWI/DUI matters.

Ms. Upton earned her Bachelor of Arts cum laude from Dickinson College and her law degree cum laude from American University, Washington College of Law in the District of Columbia. She is admitted to the Maryland State Bar, the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland and the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for Maryland. Ms. Upton is an active member of the Maryland State Bar Association, the Montgomery County Bar Association, the Maryland Criminal Defense Attorney Association and the American Association for Justice. Prudence Avery Upton was recognized as a 2009 Rising Star by Maryland Super Lawyers.
