Robert C. Bonsib, Esq. has over 35 years of experience as a criminal lawyer.  During his first 15 years of practice he served as a Deputy States Attorney and Assistant States Attorney for Prince George's County Maryland and as an Assistant United States Attorney in the United States Attorneys Office for the District of Maryland.  For the last 20 years he has concentrated his practice in the defense of individuals and organizations facing criminal law issues.  He is recognized in the "Best Lawyers in America" in the practice areas of white-collar criminal defense and non-white collar criminal defense.  Washingtonian Magazine has listed him in five consecutive issues (2011, 2009, 2007, 2004 and 2002) as one of the best lawyers in the Washington/Maryland area.  In its 2011, 2009 and 2007 editions, Washingtonian Magazine ranked him in its "Top 30 Lawyers" section.   In 2009 he received the Robert C. Heeney Award from the Criminal Law Section of the Maryland State Bar Association, an award presented annually to a criminal lawyer for a distinguished career in the field of criminal law.  He is a member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and is on the Board of Directors of the Maryland Criminal Defense Attorneys Association.  He serves on the Maryland Criminal Pattern Jury Instructions Committee and on the Trial Courts Nominating Commission for Prince George's County, Maryland.
