In June of 2011, Mr. Pasquale was lead counsel in a medical malpractice action involving the improper repair of an inguinal hernia. The plaintiff alleged that the surgeon's negligence caused him to undergo nine additional surgeries leaving him with a large scar on his abdomen. The jury returned a verdict in the plaintiff's favor in the amount of $2.6 million. As of press time, it is the largest reported medical malpractice verdict in Massachusetts for 2011. In 2009, Mr. Pasquale obtained a verdict in excess of $10 million. It was the second highest medical malpractice verdict and fourth highest overall verdict in Massachusetts for that year.
