John T. Hugo is a partner at Cooley Manion Jones LLP and has represented a wide variety of clients over a broad span of practice areas including Product Liability, Asbestos, Toxic Torts, Employment Related Litigation, Professional Malpractice and Business and Commercial Disputes.

Additionally, John has extensive experience litigating Food Borne Illness claims for clients throughout the United States.  John is a National Counsel for one of the largest food service providers in the world and is responsible for coordinating and managing this client’s significant Product and Food Liability claims, and is its primary trial counsel.  John's diverse assortment of clients includes  food service companies,  equipment manufacturers, real estate developers, law firms and other professional corporations.

John is also a member of several corporate defense national trial teams, and is Of Counsel to our California affiliate office and is CMJ’s point of contact for all California matters. His diverse client base, coupled with extensive courtroom and negotiation experience has provided John with a powerful understanding of his client's needs and goals in the face of complex, high-stakes litigation.
