Attorney Patrick M. Hart is a graduate of Columbia University and a cum laude graduate of Suffolk University Law School. He was admitted to the Massachusetts Bar in 1991 and has practiced Law in Marlborough actively since that time.

Over the course of his career, Attorney Hart has tried hundreds of cases in a variety of different courts, including jury and non-jury matters. His practice at this time concentrates on Family Law, focusing on divorce litigation, divorce negotiation, alimony, child support, division of marital assets, custody, and visitation matters. Additionally, he has substantial expertise handling paternity cases. Most clients have found that his litigation skills enable him to obtain excellent results either by trying the case, or in negotiation and settlement.

Patrick is a fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, an organization of Family Law attorneys who are recognized by judges and colleagues as expert practitioners. Currently, he serves on the Board of Managers for the Massachusetts Chapter. Patrick is also a member of the Massachusetts Probate and Family Inn of Court, a legal organization whose mission is to foster excellence in the legal community. Patrick has been recognized by his peers and the Martindale-Hubbell organization with an AV rating, which is the highest available designation attesting to a lawyer's legal ability and professional ethics.

He has frequently served as a lecturer for Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education (MCLE), Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly CLE and the Worcester County Bar Association, participating in seminars for attorneys in a variety of topics including "Child Custody and Support", "Modification and Contempt Proceedings", "Family Law Trial Advocacy", "Handling a Divorce Case from Start to Finish" "Evaluating Chapter 208, Section 34 Factors in a Divorce", "Alimony Summit 2010", "Calculating Divorce" and "Divorce Finance Summit 2011". Currently, he serves as a board member on the MCLE Curriculum Advisory Committee.

Attorney Hart is a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association Family Law Section, as well as the MetroWest Bar Association, the Worcester County Bar Association, and the Middlesex County Bar Association. He served as a member of the Central Regional Committee of the Judicial Nominating Commission, a body which has significant input into the selection of Judges. He is also a member of the Board of Directors for the Bare Hill Rowing Association in Harvard , MA as well as a long time coach for the Harvard Athletic Association youth basketball and baseball programs.
