Pro bono/Community Service: Mr. Barlow is a member of the Senior Lawyers for Justice and has accepted pro bono cases through that organization for years.  He is active in his community having served on boards for his home town including the Personnel Board, Zoning Board of Appeals and most recently the Historic Districts Commission.  For more than a decade, he rode in the Pan Mass Challenge to raise money for the Dana Farber Cancer Institute.  He has also participated in many charity bike rides for multiple sclerosis, diabetes and other worthy causes.  For the past 10 years he has raised funds for, and cycled in, the Hyannis Port Challenge for Best Buddies, an organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of people with intellectual disabilities.  He is a long time supporter of Massachusetts Veterans Inc., a veterans homeless shelter based in Worcester. 
Scholarly Lectures and Writings: Mr. Barlow has written articles on family law topics and is a frequent lecturer on a variety of subjects including: the introduction of expert testimony at trial; high conflict child custody cases; jurisdictional issues; trial advocacy; paternity; payment of college expenses; the Guardian ad litem process; and child removal actions.
