In practice since 1979, Carlo is an experienced family law trial attorney, but uses collaborative law or early stage/progressive mediation where feasible. He has been Chair of the State Bar of Michigan Family Law Council, Co-Chair of its Family Support and Court Rules Committee, President of the Wayne County Family Law Bar, and a member of the Oakland County Family Law Task Force and Livingston County Bar Association. Published extensively, Carlo has also given lectures on behalf of the State Bar Family Law Section, Michigan Judicial Institute, and Institute for Continuing Legal Education on issues including custody, parenting time, parental alienation, support, evidence, professional conduct, discovery, domestic violence, and remedies for dissipation of marital assets.
