Cary Makrouer specializes in personal injury and victim’s rights law. He was the winner of the tenth largest trial verdict in the State of Michigan in 2001 and the 13th largest trial verdict in the State of Michigan in 2005. Mr. Makrouer is AV-rated by Martindale-Hubbell and recognized as a Super Lawyer by Law & Politics magazine. He graduated with honors from Michigan State University, where he received his bachelor’s degree in psychology, and earned his law degree from the Detroit College of Law. Mr. Makrouer was admitted to the Michigan Bar in 1976. He is also admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern Division of Michigan, the U.S. District Court for the Division of Ohio, the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Tennessee, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 6th Circuit. Mr. Makrouer is a member of the American Arbitration Association; Federal Bar Association; and Michigan Association for Justice, for which he served as a moderator and Executive Board member. He also is a member of the State Bar of Michigan - Negligence Section and has served as hearing arbitrator of its Attorney Discipline Board. He is a member of the Case Evaluation Tribunals for Wayne County Circuit Court, Macomb County Circuit Court and Oakland County Circuit Court.
