David E. Christensen is a partner of Gursten, Koltonow, Gursten, Christensen and Raitt, PC, and a respected leader in the legal community. He is an executive board member of the Michigan Association for Justice (formerly the Michigan Trial Lawyers Association) and vice chair of the State Bar of Michigan Negligence Law Section. David is also a Michigan Super Lawyer, an AV-Rated Lawyer by Martindale Hubbell and named as one of Michigan's top lawyers by DBusiness magazine. As an auto accident lawyer, David is a recognized expert on closed-head injury cases and psychiatric injury cases. He obtained what was, at the time, the largest jury verdict ever rendered in a Michigan case involving a purely psychiatric injury from a car accident in Wayne County. David has lectured at many seminars and authored articles concerning trial technique for such cases.  David joined Michigan Auto Law as a trial attorney in 1992. Previously, he worked for Honigman Miller Schwartz and Cohn LLP, one of Michigan's largest and most prestigious business law firms. He graduated from the University of Michigan Law School with honors and also earned a master’s degree from the University of Michigan. David handles auto accident cases throughout the state, and works out of the firm’s Southfield and Ann Arbor offices. He has received many seven-figure verdicts and settlements on behalf of his clients, and continues to strongly advocate for those injured and killed in car and truck accidents today. David also advocates for needy Michigan residents as chairman of the board of Ann Arbor-based Help Source, a private, non-profit agency that serves Washtenaw and western Wayne County. Help Source operated Big Brothers Big Sisters in Washtenaw, as well as 10 other non-profit causes. In 2007, David was honored by the Ann Arbor Business Review for his work with the human services agency.
