• Currently serves on the Board of Directors of Angels Place, a Michigan non-profit corporation that provides homes for developmentally disabled adults throughout Southeast, Michigan. Volunteer and teacher for Angels Place at the Mahon home, Troy, Michigan. President of the Board of Directors of the Country Ridge Homeowners Association, Farmington Hills, Michigan. Serves as legal advisor for Oak Pointe Church in Novi, Oak Pointe Church in Milford and The Lakes Community Church in Walled Lake. Served as a member of the Southeast Michigan Council of Governments (SEMCOG) Basement Flooding Liability Task Force involved in the passing of the sewer liabilty statute, Public Act 222.

Scholarly Lectures and Writings:

• Featured speaker at the State Bar of Michigan, Public Corporation Section, Winter Seminar 2011. Speaker for the Oakland County Bar Association, Public Corporation Group, 2011. Author of governmental immunity article regarding roadway/sidewalk liability in the Public Corporation Quarterly, Fall 2010. Moderator and presenter at the annual convention of the Michigan Municipal League in September, 2009, in Kalamazoo. Featured speaker and moderator at the Michigan Municipal League Annual Convention on October 2, 2008, on Mackinac Island.  Speaker at the September 2008 Annual Meeting of the Michigan Association of Municipal Attorneys in Petoskey.  Topic: Protecting the Public Right-of-Ways. Speaker on excessive force by police officers, protecting against and defending jail suicides, the scope of proper search & seizure.  Speaker on defending claims of sexual discrimination in the workplace, defending employment termination claims, proper procedures for employment termination.  Speaker  on defending construction site accidents, investigating the construction site accident, interpreting construction indemnity agreements, and loss prevention.   Speaker on various municipal legal topics at statewide workshops put on by the Southeast Michigan Council of Governments (SEMCOG), the Michigan Municipal League, and the annual convention of the Michigan Association of Municipal Attorneys.
