Henry Baskin has been recognized as one of Michigan’s Ten Most Influential Lawyers and a Top Divorce Lawyer for years by statewide publications. He serves as Chairman of Oakland University’s Board of Trustees and Visitor at Wayne State Law School. He has received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Family Law Section of the Michigan Bar. He has written extensively on divorce law and entertainment law and has promulgated legislation for personal protection orders. He has received Wayne State Law School’s Distinguished Alumni Award and the Champion of Justice Award and served as Member and Chair of the Judicial Tenure Commission, advisor to Michigan’s Attorney General, and commissioner of the Oakland Bar and State Bar Associations. He serves on numerous charities, is a founder of Michigan’s Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, and has received the Department of Justice Outstanding Service Award. His practice includes high-asset divorces and personal entertainment contracts, and he is a licensed NBA-player agent.
