Profile

Lawrence R. Jordan is the Practice Group Coordinator of Jaffe’s Intellectual Property Practice Group, and the managing partner of the firm’s Ann Arbor office.  He has substantial experience in intellectual property, information technology, internet, domain name, technology transfer, biotech, publishing, and entertainment law.  His experience includes transactional work as well as litigation, arbitration, and mediation. In over 30 years of practice, he has represented companies, foundations and creative individuals in a broad range of intellectual property matters, especially trademarks and copyrights.  Clients value his extensive experience in counseling on strategies to protect and commercialize inventions, creations, and ideas.  In 1982, the Michigan Senate honored him with Resolution 562, and in 1994, the Michigan State Bar awarded him the “John Hensel Award,” recognizing his work with arts organizations and the arts.  He serves on the Board of the Ann Arbor Symphony, and has taught as an adjunct assistant professor at the University of Michigan.
