Attorney Mathew Kobliska received his Bachelor of Science from the University of Michigan in 1988, and was awarded his Juris Doctorate in 1991 from Wayne State University Law School. He was admitted to practice law in Michigan in 1991. Mr. Kobliska has practiced at all levels of trial and appellate courts in the State of Michigan, including the Michigan Supreme Court, and has filed pleadings with the Supreme Court of the United States. He has been admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan, and the United States Supreme Court.
In September of 2011, Mr. Kobliska was elected by his peers to the 21-member State Bar of Michigan Family Law Council, for a three-year term. The Council performs a variety of functions, including the formulating and influencing of proposed legislation on matters pertaining to family law, the development of proposed amendments to the court rules and the professional ethics rules, the filing of amicus curiae briefs with the Michigan Court of Appeals and the Michigan Supreme Court, and the publication of the Michigan Family Law Journal, among other important duties.
